What is Zero Contact?
An iPhone app that helps you keep no contact (or healthy, low contact) after a breakup. It combines a live streak, an SOS for urges, a private AI coach, Emergency Mode, a journal, unsent messages and a 90-day plan.
Is it free? What does Pro include?
The core features are free. Zero Contact Pro unlocks the full 90-day plan, Emergency Mode, unlimited AI coach messages and unsent chats, the reasons vault with Face ID, letters to future you, Sol, iCloud sync, PDF export, every widget and no ads. Pro is available weekly, yearly (with a 3-day free trial) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Zero Contact Pro → Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. If you cancel during the free trial, you won’t be charged.
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?
Install Zero Contact with the same Apple ID, open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases.
Can you read my journal or my unsent messages?
No. They are stored only on your device, or in your private iCloud if you turn on iCloud sync. We have no server that receives them and no account system.
How does the AI coach work?
It uses Apple’s on-device language model (Apple Intelligence). Your conversation is processed on your iPhone, is not sent to us or anyone else, and is not saved when you close it. It needs an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or later) with iOS 26 and Apple Intelligence turned on. Free users get 3 messages a day; Pro is unlimited.
Will the coach help me write a message to my ex?
No. The coach only helps with your breakup, no contact and the app’s tools. If you ask it to write to them, it suggests Unsent instead — where you can write everything and it never sends. It is an AI, not a therapist, and it can make mistakes.
What is Emergency Mode? Can I turn it off?
Emergency Mode uses Apple’s Screen Time to block the apps you choose (for example Messages or Instagram) for 15 minutes to 3 hours. You can end it early after a 60-second breathing pause. Zero Contact never sees which apps you choose or how you use them.
What happens if I slip?
Tap “I broke no contact”. Your current streak restarts, but your longest streak, journal, reasons and progress stay. A slip is a moment, not a verdict.
I share children or work with them. Can I still use it?
Yes. Turn on Low contact mode in Settings: the app talks about healthy distance instead of zero contact.
Will notifications show their name?
Never. Reminders never include their name or anything you wrote. You can turn off daily reminders in Settings → Daily reminders, and adjust risky-hour check-ins there too.
Why are there ads? How do I remove them?
Ads keep the free version free. They never appear during SOS, breathing, the coach or late at night. Pro removes all ads. In the EU/UK you can change your ad consent any time in Settings → Privacy choices, and you can control tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
How do I move my data to a new iPhone?
Turn on iCloud sync in Settings → Privacy & data. Your data then syncs through your own private iCloud account. Without iCloud sync, data stays on the original device.
Which languages are available?
English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese. The app follows your iPhone’s language, and you can change it in Settings → Language.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. If you used iCloud sync, also remove Zero Contact’s data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage. To ask our service providers to delete purchase or notification identifiers, write to tostorifapps@proton.me.
Is Zero Contact therapy?
No. It is a self-help tool. If heartbreak is affecting your sleep, work or safety for weeks, talking to a licensed professional can really help. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number or find a helpline at findahelpline.com.
